Board of Directors

The Blue Door Project is the result of a family dream combined with over 30 years of experience in child welfare and behavioral health.

Bryan Drescher is co-founder and Community Relations Director for The Blue Door Project. His responsibilities include fundraising, volunteer and donation coordination, and public relations. Bryan has a diversified background in sales, recruitment, and community relations. His most recent position was as community resource manager for a child placement agency, recruiting foster parents for children in care, coordinating donations and community involvement, and speaking to many community organizations in advocacy of foster care. Additionally, he has experience in grant writing, data collection and analysis, scheduling and teaching classes, and auditing. Bryan became passionate for children in foster care when he saw the immediate need for loving homes for them, especially for the older youth. Bryan and his wife, Laura, will live in the youth residential home with 16 youth in foster care, between the ages of 12 and 18. He looks to act as a strong male role model and encourage a family-like environment for the youth.
